Company knows that you care how information about you is used. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy.

Use of Sites is subject to the following Privacy Policy.

What information does Company collect from me as an end user?

Company is not in the business of selling personal information to third parties.

You can browse Sites without telling us who you are or giving us any personally identifiable information about yourself. When you interact with us through your computer, Sites do record certain non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to Sites.

In order to tailor the information on Sites to your specific needs, you may, at your sole discretion, elect to complete a profile or register with Company.

If you elect to complete a profile or register with Company, you will be asked to provide personally identifiable information that may include among other things your name, address, age, gender, e-mail address, phone-number, fax number, date of birth, and other personal information (collectively referred to as “Profile Information”). Once you provide us with this information you are no longer anonymous to us. We also collect personally identifiable information, such as your user name and password, whenever you login to your account and may in limited circumstances ask you to provide credit card information and other personally identifiable information when purchasing items or services. We reserve the right to request any additional information necessary to establish and maintain your account.

Some of the programs and activities on Sites could require the provision of personally identifiable information about you beyond what is in your Profile Information and you may voluntarily choose to participate in such programs and activities.

When visitors leave comments on Sites we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We collect information about you during the purchase process (PayPal, Stripe, and/or 2Checkout), as well as information relating to your course progression and quiz performance.

We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable).

We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

While you visit Sites, we will track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we will use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we will use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we will ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites in order to use an anti-spam service. The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

If you create, submit, import, save, or publish Event, Venue, or Organizer information, such information is retained in the local database:

  • Venue information: name, address, city, country, state, postal code, phone, website, geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude)
  • Organizer information: name, phone, website, email
  • Event information: website, cost, description, date, time, image

Videoconferencing service

To provide the videoconferencing service, Company processes network and usage information including IP addresses for the meeting participants, the user specified URL used to host the meeting, and information about the phone numbers that connect to the meeting (if audio connection is made via a telephone call). In some cases, meeting related content, which may contain personal information, is temporarily stored to enable user functionality in a video meeting. Examples include:

If you use the chat function, chat content is stored during the meeting.
If you record a meeting, the recording of the meeting is temporarily stored until it is uploaded to your file hosting service (e.g. DropBox).
If you livestream your meeting, video content is temporarily stored to buffer the livestream.

In addition, users have the option of providing name, email address, and link to a picture that will be displayed to participants in the meeting

Sites employ “cookies,” which are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. We employ “cookies” to let us know how long you are logged on to Sites and to automatically log you out if you are inactive for several minutes; to store your user ID and password so that when you return to Sites you won’t have to re-enter some or all of that information; and to provide us with statistics regarding what pages of Sites you visited, and how long you spent there. You may configure your browser to accept all “cookies,” reject all “cookies,” or notify you when a “cookie” is sent. However, when accessing an area that requires a password for entry, “cookies” are not optional and continued paths through the password area will not continue if cookies are not enabled.

We will also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our Sites.

If you leave a comment on our Sites you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Legal basis for processing

We collect and process information about you only where we have legal basis for doing so under applicable laws. The legal basis depend on how you use Sites. This means we collect and use your information only where:

  • We need it to provide you a service, including to operate it, provide customer support and personalized features and to protect the safety and security of our service;

Information collected off-site

Company also places advertisements on partner websites and approved third party locations. In addition to collecting data on Sites, Company is able to obtain personally identifiable information from your voluntary registration through advertising links. The purpose of these ad units is to provide you with a convenient and user-friendly registration option. The voluntary information you provide is transmitted directly to Company and treated identically to data collected from Sites. As noted above, you may customize your browser settings to match your comfort level with regard to the use of cookies on alternate websites.

Does Company track my IP address?

When you visit Sites, our web servers automatically collect limited information about your computer’s connection to the Internet, including your IP address (which is a number that lets computers attached to the Internet know where to send you data). Your IP address does not identify you personally. We log your IP address to (i) deliver our web pages to you upon request; (ii) tailor Sites to the interests of our users; (iii) help diagnose problems with our server; (iv) administer Sites in order to constantly improve the quality of Sites; (v) measure traffic within Sites; and (vi) prevent fraudulent use of Sites by others. This CID number does not contain personally identifiable information, and the CID number may not be apparent to you. We may also track and analyze non-identifying, aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors and users (all of this information is “Aggregated Data”).

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

Company does occasionally share your name and address with affiliated organizations with whom Company has a common interest.

Company also employs persons and entities to perform functions on our behalf, such as fulfilling merchandise orders, sending mail and email, processing credit card payments or helping with the maintenance or set up of our servers or computers, providing online analytics or assessing web site effectiveness with A/B testing. Such persons or entities have access to your personally identifiable information needed to perform their functions, but are contractually prohibited from using such information for any other purposes.

When you create a profile or register with Sites, you become a registered user with password access and we use your Profile Information to verify your identity, create your user account, and help us to offer you more personalized features, improve Sites, and provide you with information that is of the most interest to you. Such Profile Information is also compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis that does not reveal your personal identity and is also considered “Aggregated Data”. In addition, you may from time to time be provided with or given the opportunity to obtain additional information of interest, updates, surveys, bulletins or other communications from Company or its partners (“Communications”) via e-mail. You may select to opt out of future Communications by following the opt-out provision below.
