EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Central Park is an oasis in the city and even more beautiful as the autumn leaves start to change. It is not often that many people get to enjoy most of the 483 acres of the park in such a great way! Join us as we take a walk around the famous *Central Park Loop* with stops along the way to enjoy some of the historic sights and history the park has to offer!
**How it Works:**

* Your NYSN group leader will meet you in front of the Maine Monument at the 59th Street Columbus Circle Monument entrance to Central Park.
* From there the group will walk counter clockwise making stops along the way for rest, sightseeing, socializing & lunch.
* We will end back at the 59th Street entrance.
* Total time will be approx. 3-4 hours including a stop for lunch.

* The Carousel
* The Central Park Zoo & Armory
* The Metropolitan Museum of Art
* Cleopatra’s Needle ancient obelisk
* The Conservatory Gardens
* The North Meadow
* The North Woods
* The Pinetum
* Strawberry Fields
* Tavern on the Green
* Sheep Meadow

**Not Included:** Lunch. Please bring something to eat and drink.
**Can I come alone?** Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
**Ages:** 21+
**How difficult is the walk?** The walk is mostly flat and is about 6 miles. There is a very large hill on the Upper West Side that most will have to get out and walk for. Y0u should be in fairly good shape. This is not a race, we will set a nice pace. Bring water
**Dress Code:** Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes. Bring something to carry your lunch in.
**What if it rains?** We will determine if the walk will take place the night before if there is any question. If the walk is rescheduled you may transfer to the new date, get a credit or a refund.

**Illness Protocols/Refunds**
This event is nonrefundable unless canceled. If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.
